Ode to B Boy

You came to us one afternoon
I emerged recycling in hand,
deep in prayer to grandma Barbara
And there you were....
Not the child I was looking for, but the one that would pave the way for her
No front claws or guy parts could ever keep you from alley scraps, naps, and your Romeo ways.....
You have taught me so much...
About being accountable to no one
Loving on the heels of pain...
Being impervious to the shifting sands of life.
Your girl is all grown up, so it only makes sense that it is your time to go...but with you dies a part of my heart...you were my dark friend in the nights of the soul, and purred me through the terrain, sat in my lap, in the pit of my soul...a seat you will  always have....I'll let you go and as I do , bow deeply to your teachings..,

on life,
death,
transition,
family
and that amidst the dark night there is always the gentle purr at the seat of the soul where you nuzzle me.... I

will breathe out...and never let go of the gap between, where you always will be there to meet me!

Om namah shiva BBoy!  Hare BBoy!  Shri Shri BBoy!

Safe travels my friend....you are love and I have been graced by your unconditional holding of me!
