I've learned in this time of isolation

That my teeth hurt, heck one cracked! And I've learned more of my kids, during walks and extended conversations....

    revealing the emergence of their self, their perspective, their voice 

 in times where hate has become viral 

revealing how it is interwoven in the DNA

    gasping for air....while others standby...masked by the power structure that has bound them

I scream "GET OFF HIM"......stander bys say "your killing that man"

  The uniformed carry out their duty in the war they have waged on people who are not like them, 

people who will not abide by the rules

   They carry out the order of the man at the top who has empowered those with an order to stand back and stand by
